Ed Henkler is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy (BS, Ocean Engineering and French) and North Carolina State University (MS, Industrial Engineering). He served 10 years in the Navy, completing sea tours on two nuclear powered ships, then teaching NROTC at NC State. He then worked for 20+ years at Merck & Co., in a variety of positions, including business operations roles and management of the Research Capital Plan. After early retirement from Merck, he has become involved in myriad entrepreneurial activities with one unifying theme. Every role includes an element of helping individuals or companies in transition. His personal passion is prevention of blindness and enabling technology for individuals who are differently-abled.
